“Unto Him be the glory in the church by Jesus Christ throughout all ages, world without end. Amen” Ephesians 3:21
We believe the Bible, and the Bible in its entirety to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God, and therefore without error in the original manuscripts. II Tim. 3:16
We believe in the only true God; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Who created all things and upholds all things by the Word of His power, in Whom we live, and move and have our being: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is He and He shall judge the world.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His Virgin Birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of God, and in His personal return in power and glory to receive His own.
We believe that God is love and wills not that any shall perish, but that by acceptance of His Son Jesus Christ by a broken, contrite heart we receive His gracious gift of eternal life.
We believe that the work of the Holy Spirit is in reproving the world of sin (John 16:8); guiding into all truth (John 16:13); glorifying the Son of God (John 16:14).
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: The saved to eternal life and the lost to eternal damnation. (John 5:28, 29).
We believe that the church is composed of all those who are united by the Holy Spirit to the risen and ascended Son of God, that by the same Spirit we are all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, and thus being members one of another, we are responsible to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace, rising above all sectarian prejudices, and denominational bigotry, and loving one another with a pure heart fervently.
We believe that our church is an autonomous unit not responsible to any ecclesiastic state or political authority, in matters of conscience.
We believe in baptism by immersion (Romans 6:4) of the believer, “in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost”, to show forth in a solemn and beautiful symbol our faith in the crucified, bruised and risen Savior, with its effect - our death to sin and resurrection to a new life in Christ.
We believe that the Lord’s Supper is a Memorial service, and is the setting forth in a sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ upon our behalf. The elements of the Communion Service are not literally the body and blood of Christ nor do they contain His flesh and blood. The service is for believers only, and to partake has value only as it is mingled with faith and repentance on the part of the communicant.
We believe in separation from all worldly practices, and in wholehearted devotion to the cause of Christ as the only scriptural basis for a happy Christian life (I John 2:15-17).
We believe that our Christian responsibility is not confined to our own community, but is a world wide responsibility as commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19,20).
