Church now meeting at Camp Northfield

"Many hands make for light work!" This was certainly true as so many worked together to move all our church stuff to Camp Northfield.

THANK-YOU!!

Although we will, no doubt, have a few adjustments to make in the weeks ahead as we adapt to our new location, it is with great thanksgiving and anticipation of the Lord's continual guidance and provision for our church that I announce:

Sunday, November 19th
we will begin meeting at Camp Northfield
service times will be the same:
10:30am (Morning service)
6:00pm (Prayer meeting)

Some Background regarding our journey to Camp Northfield and our plans for a building of our own to call home:

c. 2009 - Having out grown our little church building at South Mountain Rd. we met for a short period of time at Pioneer Valley Regional School.

c. 2010 - We squeezed back into our little church building at South Mountain Rd.

Jan. 2011 - Don Rice gifted the church the property at 24 Main Street. We begin the process of removing the old gas station and having the property environmentally cleaned up.

Jun. 2013 - We began renting the Dolben Library auditorium on the Northfield Campus for Sunday meeting from the National Christian Foundation.

Sept. 2013 - With the removal of the building, ZBA declares 24 Main Street a non-conforming lot. Any building will require a special permit from the ZBA.

Jan. 2015 - Church is able to provide so Bob can minster full-time.

Spring 2017 - Thomas Aquinas College is gifted 2/3 of the Northfield Campus. We have until the end of the year (12/31/17) to find a new location.

May 2017 - 24 Main Street property is FINALLY given "all cleaned-up" status by the Mass. EPA

Summer 2017 - Search for new temporary location.

Oct. 2017 - Northfield ZBA unanimously grants approval for 24 Main Street to be developed for a church building.

Oct. 2017 - A buyer expresses interest in purchasing church building at South Mt. Rd. for office space.

Oct. 2017 - Congregation approves the sale of South Mt. Rd. church building and allocates money from the building fund for a feasibility study for the development of 24 Main Street for a church building.

Nov. 2017 - Camp director, Jeremy Losier along with the board of Camp Northfield welcomes us to use the Hilker Lodge for our Sunday services.

We continue to seek the Lord's guidance and provision for a permanent church home as we use the completed feasibility study to help us weigh our options and evaluate the cost of developing 24 Main Street for a church building.

Whatever God has for us, our prayer remains, "Lord, help us as your church, to be what you want us to be and do what you want us to do." AMEN
